The recent purchase of the assets of Horizon Bank resulted in a lengthy interview in the January 15 issue of the Puget Sound Business Journal. Writer Kristen Grind observed that the bank is now ranked 50th in the nation in terms of asset side. Sara Hasan, an analyst with brokerage firm McAdams Wright Ragen said there is a desire in the community to have a Northwest-heaquartered bank and said of Washington Federal "I think they have aspirations to be that bank." The article is on page 7 of the January 15-21 issue of the Journal.
